About

M. Sean McGee, CCIE #18040, is based in Austin, TX and is a Distinguished Systems Engineer in Cisco’s World-wide Data Center Strategy & Architecture Team. While at Cisco, Sean has been focused on launching new product families (UCS, Nexus 9000, ACI) and leading a team responsible for medium-to-long term technical strategy for compute and storage products. Prior to joining Cisco in 2009, Sean spent ~11 years at HPE/Compaq and held many positions – from 3rd level support for the networking products division to network product architect for HP’s BladeSystem Global Business Unit (engineering). During his time at HP, Sean participated in the design, patenting, and development of several network products and technologies such as HP’s NIC Teaming technology, HP’s blade switch product portfolio for HP BladeSystem e-Class, p-Class, c-Class, and HP’s Virtual Connect, Flex-10, and FlexFabric product lines.
